TrekFauna is the field notebook your hiking friends can actually read. Log what you spot in two taps, let photo-ID take a guess, then watch everyone politely argue about whether that was really a bobcat.
One tap drops the stop where you're standing, time already filled in. Photos come straight from your camera roll, so nobody has to wait around while you fiddle with an app.
Photo-ID offers a few candidates with a confidence read on each. Still torn between a marten and a very fast squirrel? Post it and let the group vote.
Your stop lands on the trail feed, where other TrekFauna users can see it, badges and all. Confirmed species take a place on your shelf — by autumn it reads like a season, not a camera roll.
Stops save to the phone and wait it out. The whole day lands on your friends' feeds the moment you reach the parking lot.
Suggestions arrive marked High, Medium or Low — and so does the friend who insists it was a fisher. Nothing counts until someone confirms it.
Start a hike and the elevation strip fills as you go. Eleven miles and one heron: both on the record.
Species, counts and first-seen dates, all in one place.
Follow the people you actually hike with, back each other's IDs, and rack up points when your calls hold up.
Stops you log show up on the trail feed. A private tag is the exception: it stays on your account and never appears on the feed or the map for anyone else.
Emblems land for the things worth telling people about: a first rare find, a run of IDs your friends backed, a season of showing up. Nothing nags you to open the app at 9pm.
TrekFauna collects what it needs to put a sighting on a map. Stops you log are visible to other signed-in users on the trail feed. There are no ad SDKs, no selling location data and no tracking you across other apps.

support@trekfauna.comThey're safe on the phone, and nobody has seen them yet. The band on the home sheet counts what's waiting; it clears itself the next time you have signal.
Open the stop and set the species yourself — your call beats the robot's.
Photos from a gallery don't always carry coordinates, so a pin can land in the wrong place. Email us which stop it was and where it should be.
There is no delete button in the app yet. Email privacy@trekfauna.com from the address on your account and we will delete it by hand.
Only while a hike is tracking. Outside a hike, location is read when you add a stop and not before.
Free to use. Bring someone — half the fun is arguing over the ID on the drive home.
